Named in honor of the four generations of maternal women who paved the way for our founder to become all that she is today.

With experience managing the complex business and personal lives of some of the world’s most recognizable leaders, planning and executing events for the Obama-Biden Administration and launching family offices/start-ups, our team at Matriarch Made are amongst some of the most heavy-hitting, highly qualified and skilled consultants.
Why Assistants?
Assistants are servant leaders, always focused on prioritizing serving others and the success of the organization. Oftentimes assistants and administrative professionals can be undervalued and overlooked. However, these roles are so much more elastic than the word assistant even encompasses. The turnover rate for an assistant is extremely high and as entry-level positions there is no real training or schooling dedicated towards the line of work that functions as the backbone and air traffic controller to companies and executives alike. It is all sink or swim. Assistants are the glue that holds organizations together and the fabric that makes institutions tick. When they are invested in, they can do their jobs well and the people they support can perform at their best.
Our hope at Matriarch Made Development is to bridge the gap of training and to change the narrative not only on how assistants and administrative staff view themselves but also how the outside world views them.
Why Events?
Events are near and dear to our founder’s heart. Her maternal great-aunt was the family’s event planner and helped to spark that same passion in her.
With a degree in Event Management and experience intricately planning and accounting for every detail involved with White House and Obama Campaign events that took place across the nation and around the globe, Matriarch’s founder was required to think through contingencies for every scenario and then some.
She often made the impossible possible with limited resources, government, and campaign budgets helping to define the moments, snapshots and stories that unfolded each day on a national and global stage.

About Our Founder
Empathetic, strategic, and meticulous about the details, Chynna Clayton has built a career enabling some of the world’s most influential leaders to excel in high-stress environments. Chynna is the founder and CEO of Matriarch Made Development, a consulting firm that centers around helping companies and organizations develop high performing administrative teams and identify and address overall operating structure inefficiencies from helping leaders figure out onboarding and how to further develop the talents of their teams to developing critical communication channels that ensure every stakeholder feels valued and supported, Matriarch Made has you covered.
Prior to Matriarch Made, Chynna worked in the personal office of Barack and Michelle Obama as their Director of Travel and Event Operations. Her career also includes administrative roles at Disney and the White House where she served as “body woman” to Mrs. Obama during the Obama Administration.
Chynna graduated from University of Florida with a B.S. in Event Management and Political Science and a minor in Business. She currently resides in Washington, DC with her wife, Katina Hoyles.
